Evaluation of Prosthetic Socket Design using Finite Element Analysis

Finite element analysis has been identified as one of the most powerful tools in the evaluation of prosthetic socket design. It enabled to get a deeper insight into the interface pressure between the residual limb and prosthetic socket which significantly affects patient’s comfort.

About this Event

This event will focus on the benefits and possibilities of simulation in the life science industry.

Simulations are used daily in industries such as Automotive, Aerospace or High Tech, to aid in research and development of new technologies and products. In this event we will show how simulation can be used in the Life Science industries in order to drive the development of innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective products and treatments. It can also be used to evaluate design concepts and speed up the development process. Later in the product lifecycle, simulations could be a powerful tool in performing design iterations or exploring different failure methods of medical devices.

Simulations have also seen an increase in the area of personalized healthcare. With the aid of simulations, a custom solution could be proposed for each patient.

In this event we will cover four areas within the life science industries: Implants, Human Tissue, Personalized Healthcare and Medical Devices & Equipment. In each session, one of our experts will show a case study highlighting the role of simulations within each field. You’ll also hear from our customers how they use simulations each day.
